This CD is the debut release from Phobos on Dark Duck Records.

Phobos aka David Thompson is an Ambient Musician living in the North East of England. His musical influences include Oophoi, Steve Roach, and Robert Rich as well as a general and enormous love of the Ambient music genre.

A Monolith can be many different things to many people, Phobos choses to think of it as a huge black obelisk (ala 2001: A Space Odyssey). This CD does indeed feature long stretches of sublime space ambient and drone. Headphone listening in a darkened room is recommended as this is essential deep immersion space music.
